James Fraser III

Most Excellent Companion James Fraser III was born in Concord, California, USA. He is the oldest (and wisest some would say) of 3 children born to James II and Monica (Coats) Fraser. He attended Armijo High School in Fairfield. CA where he played basketball and baseball and occasionally went to class. 
 
After high school James attended Sierra Nevada College, in Lake Tahoe, NV for 2 years, and then joined the United States Army as a Combat Engineer (Sapper).

James served with distinction for the next 4 years with the 82
nd Airborne Division and the 10th Mountain Division respectively. In 2001 James left the


​Army and enrolled at University of Maine, Southern Maine campus in Portland, ME and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. 

 
In 2001 he met Shauna MacKean, of Stellarton, NS while attending university in Maine. The two were married in 2002 and moved to Nova Scotia in 2004 and have 3 children Devin, James IV, and Brynn. James has spent 15 years in the financial services industry and is currently employed with Scotiabank in New Glasgow as the Senior Financial Advisor there.
 
M. Ex. Comp. Fraser was raised in Timberlea Lodge #136 in Timberlea, NS Nov 8th 2006 and shortly thereafter affiliated with Albion Lodge #5 in New Glasgow, NS after moving there. He served as Worshipful Master in 2012 and 2015. M. Ex. Comp. Fraser was exalted in Mt. Lebanon Chapter #14 in 2007 and served as Most Excellent High Priest in 2014. 
 
He was installed as Grand Scribe of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Nova Scotia in 2016, Grand King in 2017, and installed as Grand High Priest in 2018.
 
M. Ex. Comp. Fraser is also a member of Orient Council #5 on the roll of the Supreme Grand Council, Eastern Jurisdiction Royal and Select Masters, serving as Thrice Illustrious Master in 2013. He is also a member of Cobequid Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners, moored to Orient Council under the same jurisdiction. He was installed as Grand Principal Conductor of the Work in 2016 for the Supreme Grand Council, Eastern Jurisdiction Royal and Select Masters, Deputy Grand Master in 2017, and installed as Most Puissant Grand Master in 2018. 
 M. Ex. Comp. Fraser is a member and the Presiding Preceptor of Malta Preceptory #27 on the roll of the Sovereign Great Priory of Canada, Knights Templar.
