The One Hundred and Thirty-seventh Annual Convocation of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Nova Scotia was held in the Rodd Charlottetown Hotel, 75 Kent Street, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, on May 5th and 6th, 2006.

Twenty of the twenty-one Constituent Chapters were represented with 126 Companions of our own Jurisdiction registered, along with twelve guests from other Jurisdictions. Eight concordant bodies were represented.

A Divine Service of Worship was held at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 5th, conducted by the Grand Chaplain.

At the Board of General Purposes meeting during the afternoon of Friday, May 5th, prior to the Grand Chapter session, Companion Timothy R. Outerbridge was re-appointed Grand Treasurer for the third year and Companion Lawrin C. Armstrong was re-appointed Grand Secretary for the twenty-eighth year.

On the evening of Friday, May 5th one hundred and six Excellent Companions shared in the Order of High Priesthood, in the Rodd Charlottetown Hotel, 75 Kent Street, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The Order was conferred by Most Excellent Companion Earle C. MacDonald, Most Excellent President of the Order. Eleven candidates received the Order. The Grand High Priest's Reception followed the conferring of the Order.

On Saturday the Convocation was presided over by the Grand High Priest, Most Excellent Companion T. Ronald Tallon. Companion E. Carson Jackson was elected as Grand High Priest; Companion J. Hugh D. Palmer was elected as Grand King and Companion James E. Taylor was elected Grand Scribe.

The installation ceremony to install the three elected officers, the District Grand Superintendents and a number of the appointed officers, was conducted by Most Excellent Companion Gerald A. Riley, assisted by a team of Most Excellent Past Grand High Priests and others. The remaining Grand Officers, not present, will be installed at a later date.

The Grand High Priest's formal Banquet was held in the Rodd Charlottetown Hotel, 75 Kent Street, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, 6:45 p.m. on Saturday, May 6th.

The ladies were in attendance at the Friday evening Grand High Priest's Reception following the Order of High Priesthood and the Saturday noon luncheon and evening formal banquet. During the day on Saturday they were treated to a talk on "Maintaining an Active Life Style" and a demonstration on "Fitness through Belly Dancing".

The One Hundred and Thirty-eighth Annual Convocation will be held on May 4th and 5th, 2007, in Truro, Nova Scotia.
