M.E. Companion Tabor Jan Caulier
Tabor "Ted" Jan Caulier was born April 22-1937 in Stellarton, Pictou County, N.S. After completing Grade X1 in 1955, he joined the Royal Canadian Navy as a Meteorologist Observer.
Upon leaving the Navy after 5 years, he immediately joined the Halifax City Police Department and was assigned to foot patrol, in 1969 he was promoted to the rank of Detective Constable, then to Corporal and then to Sergeant. He spent the next 15 years as a plain clothes Detective. In 1982 he returned to foot patrol as Sergeant in Charge of a Platoon. The last 5 years he finished his career as Court Liaison Officer followed by Departmental Reader. He served 32 years with the Halifax City Police Force and is currently a member of the Halifax Police Retirement Association.
He is actively involved in the affairs of St. John Anglican Church, Dutch Village Rd., Halifax and he enjoys hunting and fishing as his current hobbies and had been active in sports during his school years and career. He and his lovely wife Beverly have seven children, four of which reside in Western Canada and three in Nova Scotia.
